Lab Access to Microsoft Office Programs

This page provides information about how to access and launch Microsoft Office programs from the computers in the USC computing centers. Microsoft Office programs allow you to create and edit documents, spreadsheets, databases, and graphical presentations.

The following programs are available in all USC computing centers.

Microsoft Office Programs (Windows)

Accessing Microsoft Office Programs (Windows)

  1. Log in by using your USC username and password.
  2. You will see an Applications menu on the right-hand side of the screen.
  3. From the Applications menu, click Productivity Tools to expand the folder.
  4. In Productivity Tools, click Microsoft Office to expand the folder.
  5. Double-click the Microsoft Office program you wish to launch from the list of programs.

Accessing Microsoft Office Programs (Mac)

  1. Log in by using your USC username and password.
  2. Once you are logged in, the Applications folder will appear. Double-click the Applications folder to open it.
  3. Double-click the Productivity Tools folder to open it.
  4. Double-click the Microsoft Office folder to open it.
  5. Double-Click the Microsoft Office program you wish to launch.
