Server Colocation with Server Support

USC schools, departments and other units are welcome to colocate their SUN Solaris, Windows and Macintosh servers in the ITS data center and use ITS to provide server support and management for these servers. At this time ITS offers server management services for SUN Solaris, Windows and Macintosh servers.

This service provides a customer's servers with hardware support, 24 X 7 system monitoring, a suite of basic software products, server backup, support of operating system updates, patches, and bug fixes, network connectivity and colocation in the ITS data center. ITS can further customize this service to meet specific customer needs.

How to Request Server Colocation with Support

To initiate a request for server colocation with support please:

After receiving your request ITS will contact you within two business days to schedule a time to review your requirements. Once this review is completed ITS will create a formal server support agreement, customized to your exact needs. This agreement must be signed by the appropriate level of management in ITS and your organization.

How to Add or Remove Equipment

If you would like to add equipment to or remove equipment from your rack, please complete the USC-ITS Co-location Property Addition & Removal form.
