ITS can provide hardware support contracts for many models of Sun Microsystems workstations and servers. Prices are based upon the particular model of workstation or server. Certain systems are not eligible for an ITS hardware support contract. Please contact Tina Walsh at 740-2957 or email@example.com for specific details.
Hardware maintenance contracts are required for servers and disk arrays housed in the ITS data center. Such contracts can either be from ITS or a third-party vendor. For Sun Microsystems workstations and servers located outside of the ITS data center, an accompanying software support contract is optional. (See "Non-Contract Repairs," below.)
- Example low-end system - $252/year
Sun Ultra 45 workstation
- Example mid-range system - $1,200/year
Sun SunFire T2000 server

Charges for repair of servers and other equipment not under maintenance contract are based on time and materials with a 2 hour minimum.
