authX: Services

Currently, USC ISD offers the following services related to electronic authentication and authorization:

• USC Certificate Authority
  providing host and persistent-service PKI certificates within the usc.edu and isi.edu domains
• USC Kerberos Certificate Authority

• PubCookie
  on-line authentication is moving from PubCookie to Shibboleth effective February 2005

• PGP-signed email
  including encrypting, decrypting and signing files
• Shibboleth
  providing on-line authentication (using PubCookie) and authorization for USC-affiliated users, effective August 2004
• URN Registry
