SAS at USC


This document will explain how to access and get support for SAS at USC.

Where to find SAS

SAS is installed by Information Technology Services in the USC Computing Centers. These labs are located in the following locations:

On Windows lab computers, SAS is found on the right-hand side of the screen under Productivity Tools, Statistics Applications.

SAS is also available on Unix both using regular student, faculty or staff accounts and on the High Performance Computing Cluster.

SAS does not run native on Mac OS. Macintosh users can access SAS on the Unix servers using X11, and Intel-based Macs can run SAS using Parallels or similar virtualization software.

Support for SAS at USC

USC students, faculty, and staff can can get technical support for SAS from the Information Technology Services (ITS) Customer Support Center consultants, regardless of whether the software used is in the computer labs, purchased from ITS or obtained through other sources. Support is available for SAS versions for Windows and UNIX operating systems.

Obtaining SAS at USC

Information Technology Services now has a license to provide both SAS and JMP statistical software to all current USC faculty, staff, and students at no cost.
