Mission Statement

The mission of the Technology Enhanced Learning and Distance Learning (TEL_DL) initiative is to promote and facilitate the intelligent use and exploration of technology to augment traditional classroom instruction and champion the development of distance learning opportunities across the University. In partnership with faculty, staff and administrators, the initiative aims to enable news realms of teaching, learning and research possibilities via the use of technology, and supports USC’s 18 schools and academic units by providing state-of-the-art technology resources, training, guidance, support communities, evaluation and assessment.

Why TEL_DL?

Ongoing advances in information technology have sparked an almost endless array of possibilities for new learning and assessment paradigms, and USC is committed to enhancing the traditional classroom experience through the application of state-of-the-art technology tools. The Technology Enhanced Learning and Distance Learning (TEL_DL) initiative aims to expand learning opportunities, communication and evaluation for students both on campus and across the globe.
