Bridged-Call Appearance – Multi-Appearance Telephone

This feature allows calls made to one telephone number to be answered by multiple telephone sets. You can use this feature to answer a call for someone who may have stepped away from their desk.

Using the Bridged-Call Appearance Feature

In order to have this feature add to your telephone, please contact the ITS Communications Services Group at 213-740-3814.

When the primary telephone set receives a call, the bridged call appearance flashes or rings on all the telephones that have been set up with this function. The call can be answered by anyone having a telephone with this function and handled as if the primary user were answering it. The maximum number of bridged appearances is 64.

Please note: Using this feature could constitute a HIPPA/privacy violation because the caller cannot be certain whom they will be speaking with when they call. Please check with your department before using this feature.

Getting Help
