This feature allows you to answer calls for other telephones within your work group or department. With this feature, you do not have to leave your telephone to answer a call for a nearby telephone; you simply dial an access code or press a call pickup button.
Using Call Pickup
Please contact the Communications Services Group (CSG) at 213-740-3814 to place an order to have this feature enabled for you work group or department.
If you hear someone in your workgroup's telephone ringing, pick up your handset and dial *19. The call ringing in to you group will be transferred to your telephone. If multiple lines are ringing into your group, the call ringing the longest will be transferred. This feature is sometimes applied to a button on your telephone set for easy access. This would be setup for you by the CSG at the time of your order.
