Connecting to USC Wireless Plus using Windows 7 or Windows Vista

In order to connect to USC Wireless Plus, you will need to download a required connection plug-in and configure your wireless device.

This page provides instructions on how to download the plug-in and configure your device.

Downloading and Installing the Connection Plug-In

You will need to download a plug-in before configuring your Windows computer to connect the USC Wireless Plus network. To download and install this plug-in:

1. Go to software.usc.edu.
2. Log in using your USC username and password and click the category for Windows 7 downloads.
3. From the Internet Tools category, choose USC Wireless Plus Connection Plug-In 2.0.
4. Double-click the file to begin the download.
5. When the USC Wireless Plus screen appears, click Next to begin the installation.



6. On the Login Credentials Required screen, enter your USC username in the username field and your USC password in the password field.
7. Click Next.



8. On the Configuring Your System screen, click Connect to connect to USC Wireless Plus.



9. Once you are successfully connected to USC Wireless Plus, the Connection Summary screen will appear.

Disconnecting from USC Wireless Plus

Once you are finished using the USC Wireless Plus network, you will want to disconnect from the network. To disconnect from USC Wireless Plus:

1. Click the wireless icon in the system tray.



2. On the Wireless Network Connection screen, choose USC Wireless Plus from the network list and click Disconnect.

Reconnecting to USC Wireless Plus

In order to reconnect to the USC Wireless Plus network, follow the steps below.

1. Click the wireless icon in the system tray.



2. This will open the Wireless Network Connection screen.
3. Choose USC Wireless Plus from the network list and click Connect.
