Connecting to USC Wireless using Windows 8
This page will explain how to connect a computer running Windows 8 to USC Wireless.

Please note that the USC Wireless network is an open network. All traffic is transmitted in plain text with no encryption. Guest users can connect without entering a USC username and password. Because USC wireless is an open network, ITS recommends using USC’s Virtual Private Network (VPN) software to protect personal information when using this network. For more information, see www.usc.edu/its/vpn.
Connecting to USC Wireless
- Press the Windows key and type connect to in the search field.
- Select Settings
- Under Settings, click Connect to a network.
- The available networks will be displayed in the Networks window. Go to the Wi-Fi section and choose USC Wireless.
- If you wish to connect to USC Wireless automatically in the future, check "Connect automatically and then click Connect.
