Description: Barnsdall Art Center, built in 1919, provides high-quality art instruction at an affordable cost to adults. Its mission is to create and maintain an environment that feels welcoming and an atmosphere that brings out the artistic creativity in students from a broad multicultural mix of artistic heritages. Drawing, painting (oil, acrylic, and watercolor), and sculpture are taught, as well as jewelry making, ceramics, photography, weaving, printmaking, model printing, and sketching. The Barnsdall Art Center's collection consists of art by former students and teachers.
