Description: Dating back to the late 1800’s, the archive contains over 2 million negatives, photographs, and turn-of-the-century 5X7 glass negatives of numerous events in Los Angeles and history at large. Also included are recorded oral histories, photographic scrapbooks, photographic equipment and memorabilia. Covering 180 years of the vast panoply of human endeavor, it is one of the largest, privately owned collections of general interest photographs in the United States.
