Jose Guadalupe Posada -- Artist of the Day of the Dead

Jose Guadalupe Posada (1852-1913) was a Mexican artist, folk illustrator, and political cartoonist. He was a fierce supporter of the downtrodden who depicted the horrors and tragedies in bold black and white. The wonderful illustrations he produced have delighted people for many years, and his art has become almost synonymous with the Day of the Dead
