Special collections in the archive include: the Aurelio de la Vega Collection; Bay of Pigs clippings collection; collection of Cuban serials published in California; collection on the Havanafama theater group in Los Angeles; collection of scholarly articles donated by political scientist Dr. Max Azicri (USC Alumnus); scrapbooks of Esther Herrera, one of the community's leaders and activists; collection of writer Ileana Gonzalez Monserrat and documents from the Lorente family.
