None of the hospitals reported problems with diagnostic equipment such as CAT scanners or X-ray machines. However, all agree that obtaining the necessary parts or getting a repairman to come to the hospital through the area where the civil disturbance was taking place could have been a problem. The Kaiser Permanente Gardena Data Center and Sherman Way Laboratory/Data Center requested additional security from the Kaiser Permanente Operations Center on Thursday night. Some employees spent the night there, and, as noted, food had to be brought in. |
