America: History & Life on CD

This data base will allow you to conduct quick and accurate historical research. The database is essentially an electronic library containing historical material from popular culture to politics and from women's studies to the military. The database gives you access to approximately 48,000 journal articles, nearly 30,000 book and media reviews and more than 10,000 dissertations on the history and culture of the United States and Canada. You can also scan the contents of 2,000 journals published worldwide and covered in America: History and Life from 1987 to the present. Use the database Historical Abstracts if you are interested in finding research material on other areas of the world.

Simple commands and options allow you to conduct general searches for information, or to limit your searches by time period, document type, author/editor and more.
