Founders Memorial Cemetary

Also known as Morningside Cemetery and Sylmar Cemetery;it is the oldest non-sectarian cemetery in the San Fernando Valley. It was established in the mid 1800s (perhaps as late as about 1880) and was used until 1939. It was legally abandoned as a cemetery in 1959, and is now maintained as a pioneer memorial park.
