Sunshine Mission

What is now known as the Sunshine Mission was built as a home in 1894, and was once one of the most elegant homes in the city.

Over the years it has had a rich and varied "career": it has served as the Froebel Institute, a fashionable girls school, a dormitory for USC students, used by the military in World War II, it has been part of the Foursquare Gospel Church, and is now a shelter for women.
