Structurae: International Database and Gallery of Structures

A database of nearly 60,000 works of structural engineering, architecture or construction through time, history, and around the world. Documentation begins with the pyramids in Egypt and Roman construction, continues to Romanesque and Gothic churches and through to the Industrial Revolution all the way to today and beyond. It deals mostly with bridges, tunnels, dams, skyscrapers, stadiums, towers, etc.Includes numerous images, including multiple views of some structures; chronology of the individual work; technical information; bibliographies; and links to relevant web sites.Discreet ads appear on each page.
