The materials include a portfolio of images taken early in Whitlock's career of weddings and catered events; a professional portfolio binder of 11 x 16-inch black-and-white images of Gay Pride in New York City in 1976 and in Los Angeles in 1984, of the Griffith Park Observatory, and of various children; and six color slide portfolios from 1984 through 1990, containing images of Cape Cod National Park, Los Angeles apartment interiors, Hollywood movie sets, ancient ruins in Mexico and Italy, actors James Coburn and Nanette Fabray, writer Michael Creighton, and the 1986 Miss Black Los Angeles contest.
