Gift Options

A gift to the USC Libraries can be either unrestricted or directed to a specific project or program. All contributions are tax-deductible and earn you membership in the Friends of the USC Libraries.

Unrestricted Gifts
Unrestricted gifts provide the USC Libraries with the flexibility to apply funds where they are most needed and to respond to unique opportunities as they arise.

To make an unrestricted gift, please go to How to Give.

Directed Gifts
A directed gift allows you to focus your support on a project that especially appeals to you. The programs listed below are just a few examples of initiatives that share strategic significance and importance to faculty, staff, and students:

To direct your gift to a project or program, please go to How to Give.

Naming Opportunities
The USC Libraries provide opportunities for individuals or organizations who make large gifts to attach a name to important facilities or programs.

Planned Gifts
Planned gifts are made through a donor's estate, and include bequests, charitable remainder trusts, and other options. Such gifts can increase your current income, earn you valuable income-tax deductions, and reduce your estate taxes. For more information visit the USC Advancement Office of Planned Giving.

Other Gifts
For more information on the above and other types of gifts, including stock, real estate, personal property, in-kind gifts, and archival materials, please contact Shane McCoy on our Development Staff.
