Collaborative Workroom Reservation Policies and Procedures
Collaborative Workrooms for group study are available within the East Asian Library which is located on the first floor of Doheny Memorial Library. Collaborative Work Rooms 109D, 110A, and 110B are designed for groups of six to eight people and come equipped with a white board, dry erase markers and network connections for laptops.
Reservations may be made in person, in advance at the circulation desk at Doheny Memorial Library located adjacent to the East Asian Library space. Reservations will not be taken over the phone.
-
RESERVATIONS HAVE PRIORITY. If you are using a room and do not have a valid reservation, you must leave when asked by a group that has a valid reservation.
-
On any calendar day, you may reserve only ONE HOUR PER NAME and may make reservations in ONE ROOM ONLY. If you attempt to exceed these limits, all your reservations for that day will be invalid, and your time slots will be available to other groups.
-
There is a TEN MINUTE GRACE PERIOD. If you or the second person in your group arrives more than ten minutes after the start of your reserved time, then your reservation is invalid, and another group may make a new reservation.
-
Priority use is given to GROUPS OF TWO or more. If you are alone in a room and the grace period has expired, another group of two or more may take the room.
-
When occupying a room, DISPLAY YOUR USC ID in the holder inside the window facing outward. The name of the ID must match the name on the reservation sheet.
- Make all reservations in ink, and do not white out or erase any reservation.
- Please refer any disputes to the Librarian, Staff Member or Student Assistant at the Front Desk.
If you have any questions regarding Collaborative Workrooms 109D, 110A, and 110B, please e-mail Angelica Weber, the Customer Service Supervisor, at aweber@usc.edu.
