Doheny Memorial Library
Special Collections is located on the second floor of the Doheny Memorial Library (DML) and is accessible from the reference desk adjacen to the Horton Rare Book Room (Room 209).
Horton Rare Book Room (DML 209)
The Horton Rare Book Room serves as the reading room for Special Collections. Up to twelve readers can be accommodated at a time. This is a quiet room. Consultation about materials in Special Collections takes place elsewhere. Reference and check-in services, as well as lockers, are adjacent to the Horton Rare Book Room.
Feuchtwanger Memorial Library (DML 206)
The library of Lion Feuchtwanger is housed in the Feuchtwanger Memorial Library. In addition, this room serves as a space for class presentations, exhibits and lectures related to materials housed in Special Collections. The room can accommodate classes of up to 30.
Seminar Room (DML 208)
Special Collections provides a small room in which scholars may view and discuss Special Collections materials together. This room is also used by curators as a consultation space when researchers need their assistance. When available, the seminar room accommodates small classes (up to 5 plus instructor) to discuss materials housed in Special Collections.
Hancock Memorial Museum
Located in the Allan Hancock Foundation Building (AHF), the Hancock Memorial Museum is open by appointment only.
