Marianne Wiggins is the author of eight novels, most recently The Shadow Catcher, and two collections of short stories. She is a professor of English at USC. Her novel Eveless Eden was short-listed for the Orange Prize and her Evidence of Things Unseen won the Commonwealth Club Prize in 2004 and was nominated for a National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize. She is a recipient of the Margaret Whiting Award, the Janet Heidiger Kafka Prize, and a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. Ms. Wiggins has resided in Paris, Brussels, and Rome and lived in London for sixteen years, where she regularly reviewed books for The Times. She has taught creative writing in the Masters Program at New York University and is a member of the Authors Guild, PEN West, and the Writers Guild of America. Her hobbies are photography, geology, and skating on thin ice.
