Neil Peter Jampolis has an active career as a set, lighting, and costume designer for Broadway (where he has earned four Tony® nominations and a Tony® Award), Off-Broadway, dance, regional theater, and opera. His designs, large and small, have appeared on every continent. He has been principal designer for the dance company Pilobolus since 1975. His most recent New York project was lighting the Metropolitan Opera’s Iphigenie en Tauride in November 2007. He is Distinguished Professor of Theater at UCLA, where he teaches design and directing.
