Wartzman

Rick Wartzman is executive director of the Drucker Institute at Claremont Graduate University. The institute’s mission is to better society by stimulating effective management and responsible leadership. It does this, in large part, by advancing the teachings of the late Peter F. Drucker. Wartzman also writes a column for Forbes online. He is the author of What Would Drucker Do Now?, a collection of his columns; Obscene in the Extreme: The Burning and Banning of John Steinbeck’s The Grapes of Wrath; and (with Mark Arax) The King of California: J.G. Boswell and the Making of a Secret American Empire. Before joining the Drucker Institute in 2007, Wartzman spent two decades as a reporter and editor at The Wall Street Journal and the Los Angeles Times. He currently serves on the editoral board of Boom: A Journal of California, published quarterly by the University of California press.
