Janet Fitch is the author of the novels Paint It Black and White Oleander. The latter, an Oprah’s Book Club selection, was made into a feature film in 2002. Fitch’s short stories have appeared in the anthology Los Angeles Noir and such journals as Black Clock, A Room of One’s Own, Speakeasy, Black Warrior Review, and Rain City Review. She currently teaches creative writing in the Master of Professional Writing program at USC and the Squaw Valley Community of Writers summer workshops.
