Lippincott

Sara Lippincott is an editor specializing in nonfiction, particularly in books about science for the general public. For ten years, from 1982 to 1993, she was a nonfiction editor at The New Yorker. In 1993 she moved to Pasadena, where for the next ten years she was a lecturer in the creative writing program at Caltech. She has edited several best-sellers, including Bill Bradley’s Time Present, Time Past; Lawrence Krauss’s The Physics of Star Trek; Timothy Ferris’s The Whole Shebang; and John McPhee’s Annals of the Former World, which won the 1999 Pulitzer Prize for general nonfiction. She is a regular reviewer of books on science for the Los Angeles Times.
