Scripter 21 master of ceremonies Jamie Lee Curtis and major changes to the USC Libraries Scripter Award were announced.

The Scripter 21 selection committee voted on the five finalists for the 2009 USC Libraries Scripter Award.

Tues., Jan. 6, 2009    
The writers behind The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Iron Man, The Reader, Revolutionary Road, and Slumdog Millionaire were named finalists for the 21st annual USC Libraries Scripter Award.

The USC Libraries awarded the Scripter Literary Achievement Award to Michael Chabon, author of Wonder Boys, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay and The Yiddish Policemen's Union.

Novelist Vikas Swarup and screenwriter Simon Beaufoy won top honors for Slumdog Millionaire at the 21st-annual USC Libraries Scripter Award ceremony in Doheny Memorial Library on the USC campus.
