Collections

The Los Angeles and Southern California collection is mainly located in Edward L. Doheny Jr. Memorial Library, but items in the collection can also be found in the Special Libraries and Archival Collections. USC collections in Los Angeles and Southern California focus mainly on the culture, history and politics of the area from the 19th and 20th centuries. There is overlap with many other subject areas in the social sciences, arts and humanities and subject areas of professional schools. The interdisciplinary nature of this subject provides the special focus for collecting original materials, print, electronic and multimedia materials for teaching and research at the undergraduate through the doctoral levels.
