After School Sports Connection
The ASSC is a part of the USC Family of Schools' community outreach effort. ASSC offers after-school sports instruction in basketball, flag football, martial arts, soccer, volleyball, swimming, tennis and golf to 1,800 students in third through fifth grades. ASSC instructors are USC undergraduates, graduate students and student athletes. Funded by the Amateur Athletic Foundation and USC Neighborhood Outreach.

Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber
The USC Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber, located on the campus of the Wrigley Marine Science Center at Big Fisherman's Cove on the west end of Catalina Island, is an emergency recompression medical facility for the treatment of scuba diving accidents. The chamber also places an emphasis on research and community education.

Clash of the Trojans
This is a fun "Olympics" style event for Troy Camp and the USC Family of Schools. Teams composed of USC students living in university-owned housing and fraternities and sororities team up with local kids to compete in wacky games held on the USC campus. There is music, food, t-shirts and fun for all participants and volunteers at this event.

Excellence In Athletics/Department of Sports Medicine
The USC Department of Sports Medicine coordinates an innovated community-outreach program affecting local high schools in the East Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley areas. This program offers Certified Athletic Trainers, for up to 10 hours per week at each high school. The trainers perform injury evaluation, provide rehabilitation programs, and provide emergency medical care in the event of a major injury or athletic accident. The program also provides a free Saturday morning "Injury Clinic" during the fall, a medical excess insurance policy, an athletic training room where students can receive injury rehabilitation, and 24-hour access to a Certified Athletic Trainer. The department is also the official Certified Athletic Trainers for USC club sports.

Kid's Corner
The USC Athletics Kid's Corner program distributes complimentary tickets to youth organizations throughout Southern California. Because of the large number of groups participating in the Kid's Corner program (over 2,000), as well as NCAA and PAC 10 Conference restrictions on complimentary tickets, there are events and ticket quantity limits. Kids In Sports
In partnership with USC Recreational Sports, Kids In Sports expands instructional sports programs for low-income boys and girls at the Vermont Sports Club. The project serves boys and girls from the University Park and Health Sciences Campus area year-round, after school, and during weekend and summer periods. Recipient of a USC Neighborhood Outreach grant.

National Youth Sports Program
This six-week summer sports and education program is for economically disadvantaged Los Angeles area youth who are 10 to 16 years old. Emphasis is on sports skills instruction and competition, physical fitness, good health practices, and career guidance. Over 450 young people participate each summer. NYSP includes an education opportunity in math and science.

Panhellenic/Interfraternity Council Halloween Carnival
This Halloween celebration on USC's McAllister Greek Row provides a safe celebration that includes music, carnival games, face painting, lunch, snacks and hands-on arts activities.

Safe Halloween
The USC Norman Topping Student Aid Fund, in collaboration with the City of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation, organizes the annual Safe Halloween event to provide a safe celebration for children in the local community. In coordination with the Hoover Recreation Center's staff, Topping Scholars annually plan and provide a one-night extravaganza, held on October 31 of each year, with inflatable games, a haunted house, candy, crafts and treats for neighborhood youth.

Society of Women Engineers Halloween Fun Fair
Students from the USC Family of Schools are invited to the USC campus for some safe Halloween fun. Volunteers from the USC Viterbi School of Engineering and the USC Volunteer Center run activity stations that include bobbing for apples, cookie decorating and face painting. Pi?atas and a magician round off the morning of fun for both volunteers and elementary students.

Spirits In Action
This is a one-day event for physically and mentally disabled athletes of all ages. Athletes compete in track and field games and receive ribbons for their participation. Each athlete is paired with a USC student who acts as his or her buddy for the day. Co-sponsored by the USC Philanthropy Fund.

Trojan KidS Camp
Trojan KidS Camp is a summer youth program designed to enhance the on-campus experience of youngsters in the Los Angeles community. The program is open to youth ages 10-16. Supervised and structured sports activities are the basis of Trojan KidS Camp. Activities include swimming and other sports.

Troy Camp
Troy Camp is USC's largest student-run philanthropy and has been in operation since 1948. USC students plan and fund raise for one week of camp for nearly 200 at-risk youth in grades three through five from elementary schools surrounding the University Park campus. Camp activities include sports, arts and crafts, horseback riding, nighttime campfires, motivational speakers, and educational activities. Due to Troy Camp's "commitment to friendship," USC students continue relationships with campers through year-long programming, including football games, after-school tutoring, holiday parties and other events throughout the following academic year.

USC Family Activity Program
The goal of the USC Family Activity Program is to encourage accomplished and deserving students participating in the various programs that make up the USC Community Education Academy -- all of which are related to the USC Family of Schools and the USC Health Sciences Campus Partner Schools -- to discover and explore a variety of USC activities by inviting their families to share in the experience with them. It hopes to enlighten, enrich and entertain students, their families and guests by making available to them complimentary tickets to concerts, athletic events, plays and guest speakers appearing on and around the USC campuses.
