A Community Place
This social service referral center, located at St. Mark's Lutheran Church at the corner of Vermont Avenue and West 36th Place, is a coordinated effort to educate the campus about the needs of the working poor and homeless while providing a central location for distribution of bus tokens, healthy bag lunches, referrals and a social worker to talk to.

Christmas Is Community
This is an annual food and toy drive in which USC students, staff and faculty members participate. Collected items are given to a coalition of local churches, synagogues and "safe" houses in the USC neighborhoods (University Park and Health Sciences) for distribution to needy households.

Food, Clothing and Toy Drive
A committee composed of ISI division representatives conducts food/health maintenance items and cash/clothing drives as well as Thanksgiving turkeys and holiday food and toy drives to benefit families served by the Southern California Veterans Services Council in Inglewood and the Clare Foundation in Culver City.

From the Wholesaler to the Hungry
From the Wholesaler to the Hungry establishes partnerships between charitable agencies and the food industry, city by city across the United States, whereby surplus fresh fruits and vegetables are donated and speedily distributed to hungry and malnourished people. Today, more than 147 programs distribute fresh produce to needy children and adults, obviating many chronic and preventable illnesses.

HSC Transportation Services Toy/Food Drive
Each year, commencing the first working day after the Thanksgiving holiday, Transportation Services holds an annual toy drive at the USC Health Sciences Campus. Barrels are displayed at the parking structure and gate entrances and toys/food are collected until the middle of December. Toys are distributed at the Wyvernwood Projects located on Olympic and Soto, local area churches and Murchison Street Elementary School.
