Workshop #1: Energy
Date: Saturday, November 17, 2007
Time: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Location: University of Southern California, Los Angeles
Objective: We’ll explore different energy resources especially those related to electricity, different methods of electrical generation, current and voltage, photovoltaic cells, and energy conversion.
Participants will take home digital multimeters (measure voltage, resistance, and milliamperage), hand cranked electricity generators, capacitors for storing electricity, silicon solar cell arrays, lights, and unique heat powered boats.
