Mission
The USC Emeriti Centers mission is to render services to retirees and pre-retirees by providing information, rendering services, and enhancing opportunities for continuing growth during retirement years. In so doing, the Emeriti Center helps enrich the personal and professional lives of persons in the university and the greater community.
History and Purpose
The Emeriti Center was established at the University of Southern California in 1978 by then University President John R. Hubbard for the purpose of providing service and support for faculty and staff prior to retirement and throughout the retirement years. Leaders of the Emeriti Center assume the roles of communicator, advocate, liaison, and ombudsman regarding retirement policies and practices in cooperation with other divisions of the university.
