• Provides information, referrals, and other assistance to faculty, staff, and retirees relating to retirement through humane services, seminars, interviews, newsletters, and select publications.
• Offers an annual retirement education seminar, Transitions, at no cost, to faculty and staff employees and retirees of the university.
• Works with university administration and retirement associations in planning and conducting annual retiree recognition functions.
• Sponsors the Retired Faculty/Staff Benefits Committee which initiates and develops health care and related privileges for USC retirees.
• Conducts an annual Fund Campaign to supplement the Provost's budget. Retired faculty and staff volunteers assist in calling and writing to retired colleagues.
• Promotes the Benefactor Recognition Program.
• Develops video and audio tapes in support of the USC Living History Project.
• Exchanges information about retirement practices with appropriate personnel at other colleges and universities.
The Staff Retirement Association and the Retired Faculty Association conduct active programs in the interests of their respective memberships. The Emeriti Center provides supportive services for both organizations.
