Dr. Janette C. Brown has worked at USC since 1995 and joined the USC Emeriti
Center in 2005. She was previously the Associate Director of
Experiential Learning at the USC Career Planning and Placement Center.
Janette founded the USC Experiential Learning Office in 1999
and created and managed the grant-funded USC Freeman Fellows Asia Internship
Program as well as the USC Mexico Summer Internship Program. For
several semesters, Janette also taught Theories of Career Development
for USC undergraduates.
A Whittier College graduate and former high school teacher, Janette earned
her doctorate and a second master’s degree from the USC Rossier School of
Education in Higher Education Administration. In addition,
Janette has business experience having owned an LAX area real estate firm
with her husband for over 25 years.
