Description:
The Student Life Committee deals with many issues of concern to graduate students including housing, hospitality, parking, recreational sports, student health and mental health/counseling. The goal of the committee is to provide improvement in student life for graduate students on all of USC’s campuses. The committee works on a variety of issues and aims to create plans for improvement and present these plans to administrators.
Goals::
This semester the primary goal of the student life committee will be to complete a graduate student handbook
that can be accessed on-line. This handbook will be a compendium of information about university policies, requirements,
and resources that are relevant to USC graduate students The handbook will be divided into sections which include: academic,
nonacademic (housing, transportation, recreation, etc), university policies, resources available and contact information.
It will be a great resource for incoming graduate students as well as current students.
The student life committee would also like to put together events such as a movie night or book club in order to provide graduate
students with opportunities to meet other students, socialize, and take part in events other than their studies.
All graduate students are invited to come to the student life committee meetings and provide us with their feedback.
We can brainstorm together on other things to work on that interest you and other graduate students.

Office Hours : 10-11 every Thursday in the GPSS office.
