• Working with Dr. Freyberg, hydrologist and faculty member, to develop new projects relating to water and sediment transport studies of Searsville Lake.
• Participated in surveying of wells - some preliminary work with GIS is planned
• In charge of weekly monitoring of approx. 10 piezometers within the lake system

• Assisted Ph.D. candidate and visiting professor on laboratory work dealing with flow fields around coral heads
• In charge of measurements and analysis to quantify topographic variability or 'roughness' of the corals in the flume

• Developed and conducted a preliminary research project on the ecology of Piermont Marsh, Nyack, NY
• Attended seminars on topics relevant to research currently underway at LDEO
