USC Staff Assembly

Our Purpose

USC Staff Assembly is an officially-recognized branch of the university governance system and exists to promote the growth and welfare of staff employees.  We are elected by university staff during a campus-wide election process.   Assembly Members, through assigned committee work, research and provide recommendations on all matters related to staff work environment, benefits, and policies.  Our diverse group includes staff from UPC, HSC, exempt, and non-exempt (non-union) employees.  Meet our members>

Committee Work

USC Staff Assembly is actively engaging in committee work (outside of and in addition to the standing committees within the Staff Assembly) focused on social justice and diversity, equity, and inclusive initiatives relative to the staff experience.  Staff, students, and faculty can report incidents of bias and discrimination via the USC Office of Equity, Equal Opportunity, and Title IX. https://eeotix.usc.edu/report/  There are additional Staff support services through the Center for Work and Family Life.

Other committees include but are not limited to the following:
Department of Public Safety – Community Advisory Board
President’s and Provost’s Task Force on Racial Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (REDI)
Search Committee – USC’s Inaugural Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer
