| 10:45 | Depart at Shilla Hotel to Changdeokgung Palace |
| 11:30-12:45 | Changdeokgung Palace/Huwon. Used as the main palace by many Joseon kings and the best preserved among the 5 royal Joseon palaces. It is known for its beautiful garden for the royal family, Huwon or Secret Garden. Changdeokgung Palace was built during the 5th year of the reign of King Taejong (1405) as a royal villa. It was later used as royal residence when Gyeongbokgung Palace was burned down. |
| 12:45 | Depart for local restaurant |
| 13:00-14:00 | Lunch |
| 14:00-15:30 | Insadong Antique Alley Shopping District Traditional ink paintings, calligraphic works, antique furniture, handicrafts, ceramics, and modern-style traditional dresses. Art gallery, Restaurant, Coffee shop. |
| 15:30 | Return to the hotel with arrival by 16:00 |
Seating is limited for this program and is on a first come, first serve basis. There is NO COST to participate in this tour program for registered conference participants, but you must sign up when registering or via email to windler@usc.edu. The cost is $75 for this guided program for non-registered guests
