Ann Hill

San Diego attorney Ann Lipscomb Hill is immediate Past President of the USC Alumni Association's Board of Governors. She also serves on the University of Southern California Board of Trustees and is the Chair of the Trustees Alumni Affairs Committee.

A Past President of both the Trojan League of San Diego and the Association of Trojan Leagues, she is a member of the San Diego USC Leadership Council and the USC Alumnae Coordinating Council. In 2002, she received a USC Alumni Service Award, recognizing her outstanding volunteer efforts on behalf of the university.

Beyond USC, Hill's commitment to service extends to such community organizations as the San Diego Crew Classic Foundation Board, where she serves as vice president, and the San Diego Crew Classic Stewards Committee, which she chairs.

Hill is a member of the State Bar of California, as well as the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court. She is also a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, L.E.A.D. San Diego, Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS), and National Charity League, as well as the Junior League of San Diego, San Diego International Visitors Council, ZLAC Rowing Club, P.E.O. Sisterhood and The Wednesday Club.

Hill is the recipient of numerous awards, including the 1997 USC Widney Alumni House Volunteer Service Award and the 1988 California Republican Party Distinguished Volunteer Service Award. She was a runner-up for the 1989 Woman of the Year award in the 78th Assembly District and was the first recipient of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Family Law Section Outstanding Achievement Award in 1977.

Hill earned her bachelor's degree in English from USC in 1971 and her master's degree in American Studies in 1974. She earned her J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in 1977. She is married to John D. Hill, a 1974 graduate of the Keck School of Medicine of USC. They have two children, Jeff and Emily.
