Family Friendly Workplace Policies at USC

Family Friendly Environment

A lack of balance in an employees life, can contribute to stress, fatigue, absenteeism and presenteeism (physically present for work, but mentally absent, unfocused, and unproductive). The ability to focus on work at work is often diminished when employees are worried about family or personal concerns. Conversely, they may be inattentive at home because they’re consumed with job demands. Consequently, both work and home life can become unfulfilling, unhealthy and unproductive

The University offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support employees and their family members. It is important to not only be familiar with these benefits,
