USC Genomics Cores
USC recognizes the fundamental importance of genomics for the 21st century. To support biomedical research, USC has initiated four genomic core facilities and a graduate training program that facilitate access to the most advanced genomic technology and knowledge.
The USC Genomics Cores are:
- Genotyping Core
High throughput genotyping of polymorphisms and epigenetic markers for epidemiologic and genetic studies.
- Microarray Cores
- Custom Microarray Core
Global gene expression, protein or antibody profiling and molecular karyotyping. - Affymetrix Core
Global gene expression using Affymetrix chips - Proteomics Core
Global protein analysis through proteomics
PIBBS (The graduate Programs in Biomedical and Biological Sciences)
Graduate training is an integral part of the genomics activities at USC to train future biomedical scientists that are well-versed in genomics.
