Mission Statement

The Institute for Advanced Catholic Studies, located at the University of Southern California, fosters Catholic intellectual and scholarly life. It brings together scholars from all over the world and from all disciplines, especially the humanities, social sciences and sciences, who desire to engage in cross-disciplinary, ecumenical and inter-faith conversation and research that retrieves, critiques and develops a deeper understanding of the roles of religion, and especially Catholicism, in the world today.
