Information for Displaced Students

To address the needs of displaced students from other universities, USC will offer temporary enrollment this fall semester to a limited number of academically prepared undergraduate and graduate students (approximately 100) as space allows. Students who wish more information may contact the USC Office of Admission at (213) 740-1111.

Because university housing is not available, students considering attending USC temporarily should ideally be within reasonable commuting distance of the campus. Students should also be aware that because USC is entering the third week of classes, incoming students may have difficulty balancing a heavy workload and getting up to speed with classes. In light of these obstacles, we encourage displaced students to consider all of their options, including taking classes at a local community college, at other universities that have not already begun the school year, or taking a break from school this semester to fully deal with this overwhelming situation and prepare to return to school in the spring. This could be an opportunity to pursue a job, internship, or travel abroad experience.

Displaced undergraduate students who have already contacted USC will be notified about their ability to enroll by Tuesday, September 6. Graduate students will need to be in contact with the specific professional school or graduate program in their area of interest about enrollment possibilities.
