USC College Relief FundUSC College has established a relief fund. It will offer scholarship aid, as well as other means of support, to help USC students and their families who now find themselves in dire circumstances.

KUSCClassical KUSC (91.5 fm) is joining an effort organized by the National Association of Broadcasters to air special announcements throughout the day on Friday, September 9, asking for donations to the Red Cross and Salvation Army for hurricane Katrina relief.
Salvation ArmyBeginning on Tuesday, there will be tables all around campus where you can donate money and, if you like, receive a blue "Sharing Hope" bracelet. The funds will go to the Salvation Army for the hurricane relief effort. The locations and times are:
Volunteer Center In Kind DonationsDonations of clothing, shoes, books, toys, games, toiletries, diapers, and baby formula will also be accepted. These will be distributed to the 20,000 people at shelters in Florida. You may contact the USC Volunteer Center at 213-740-7012 to offer help or for further information. Academic SenateThe Academic Senate Executive Board will be raising funds to assist faculty colleagues in need at Tulane University. (More information on this will be forthcoming.) Red Cross Donations via USC Credit UnionUSC Credit Union has made it possible for members of the USC Family to safely and conveniently contribute to the Red Cross Hurricane Katrina relief effort through http://www.usccreditunion.org. USCCU members can the on-line banking system to transfer funds from their accounts by simply clicking the "Katrina Relief Fund" tab after logging in. Members without on-line banking access codes, or those that may wish to donate funds invested in a term certificate of deposit (CD), may request a transfer by calling 213-821-7100 during regular business hours. (Note: all CD early withdrawal penalties will be waived.) Finally, all members of the campus community, including those that do not have a USCCU account, may directly contact the Red Cross at http://www.redcross.org or 1-800-HELP-NOW to make a debit or credit card donation |
