USC Neuroscience

HCN (Hearing & Communication Neuroscience) is an inter-disciplinary training program jointly organized by the Neuroscience Graduate Program at USC and the House Ear Institute (HEI). The program is supported by a training grant from the National Institute of Deafness & Communication Disorders. Professors Sarah Bottjer & Neil Segil are the Co-Directors of the program.

Our first annual retreat was held May 17-18 at the USC Center at Two Harbors on Catalina Island. Twenty-five grad students, postdocs, and faculty met to discuss a broad spectrum of research presentations relevant to hearing and vocal communication.

The schedule for the retreat can be found here as a pdf file.
