New Dean of Religious Life, Varun Soni is planning a Baccalaureate Ceremony with a different slant for 2009.
Employing a more streamlined format and contemporary music, it will be nonetheless spiritual and inspiring.

The Very Reverend Canon Michael Battle, Ph.D. will deliver the main address.  Reverend Battle is a theologian, professor, writer, and speaker whose ministry spans the globe and is dedicated to nonviolence, human spirituality, and African church studies.  Dr. Battle was ordained as a priest in South Africa by his longtime friend and mentor Archbishop Desmond Tutu.  After the ceremony, the festive Baccalaureate dinner will be served at 6:30 pm.

Souljourn is a chance for USC students to explore the incredible religious landscape in Los Angeles - we'll be visiting mosques, churches and temples.  Contact Jim Burklo if you are interested in this opportunity.

Face to Faith is an opportunity for students to learn about religions of the world from other students. **

Join our newly forming multi-faith choir, Shanti.  If you are a USC student and would like to be part of a choir that sings and chants sacred music from many world traditions, please contact Jim Burklo, Associate Dean of Religious Life.  We are assembling a choir to sing at the Baccalaureate Ceremony at graduation and for other special occasions on and off campus.
