Co-Sponsorships

The Office of Religious Life is pleased to be able to offer modest financial assistance to student religious groups at USC that are planning a campus program. This assistance is available only to recognized student groups that participate in the Interfaith Council.  Aid is generally limited to about $200 and is available only as the Office of Religious Life budget permits.  Each recognized student group may apply for co-sponsorship funds once per semester.

Office of Religious Life funding is available only when one or more of the following conditions is satisfied, or at the discretion of the Deans of Religious Life, in consultation with the Religious Life Advisory Committee:

  1. Two or more recognized student groups from different faith traditions cooperate to create a program that fosters multi-religious understanding.
  2. A program of interest to the overall campus community is being presented by one or more student religious group(s) from a tradition/faith not otherwise represented on campus, within its first five years, or that has not yet solidified outside support from its faith tradition.

In completing the application, please be sure to include:

  1. purpose of the event
  2. the dollar amount requested and the specific purpose(s) to which that money will be directed, and
  3. the names of the other groups involved. Please check ORL listings to be sure that co-sponsoring student religious groups have been recognized and participate in the Interfaith Council.

If your request is granted, all publicity regarding the event must include mention of the Office of Religious Life as a co-sponsor.  As with all campus religious life, the full name of your group should be clearly visible on any publicity.
