Prize Winners Renaissance Scholars

Each year, an exemplary group of ten Renaissance Scholars designees is selected to receive $10,000 prizes towards graduate study. To be considered for the Prize Competition, applicants must be a previously certified Renaissance Scholar candidate and submit all prize application materials by the prize competition deadline (mid-February of the student’s final year at USC).  Students who request certification after the prize competition deadline, but no later than the last day of classes in the Spring semester before their Commencement are not eligible for the Prize Competition but will still be considered for the Renaissance Scholar honor.  Click below to see the list of Prize Winners for current and previous years:

2002 Renaissance Scholar Prize Winners

At the 2002 commencement, the university has recognized 97 seniors as USC Renaissance Scholars. Each student has completed a major and a minor, or a double major, in two disparate fields with a grade point average of 3.5 or better. Each Renaissance Scholar is also eligible to enter the Renaissance Scholar Prize competition. From among the 85 scholars who chose to compete, 17 have been nominated to receive a $10,000 prize. The 17 prize recipients form an exemplary group. Their names and major(s)/minor(s) are provided below:
